Josh Fryar is an American football offensive tackle for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Fryar was born in Beech Grove, Indiana where he attended high school at Beech Grove. Coming out of high school Fryar was a three-star recruit where he had offers from Alabama, Florida State, Iowa State, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Washington State, West Virginia, Wisconsin.[1] He decided to commit to play college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.[2][3]
In Fryar's first season in 2020, he would redshirt. In Fryar's second season in 2021 he played 12 games before tearing his ACL.[4][5] During the 2022 season, Fryar got his first career start at guard against Indiana.[6] Fryar came into the 2023 season vying for a starting tackle job.[7][8] Heading into the Buckeyes first game of the 2023 season, Fryar would earn the starting left tackle spot.[9][10] For his performance on the 2023 season, Fryar was named first-team all Big Ten.[11][12]
