Kolyai Rural District (Persian: دهستان كليائي) is in Pirsalman District of Asadabad County, Hamadan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Tavilan-e Sofla.[4] The rural district is populated by Kurds.[5]
At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the Central District) was 3,909 in 871 households.[6] There were 3,354 inhabitants in 914 households at the following census of 2011,[7] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Pirsalman District.[3] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 3,028 in 950 households. The largest of its 14 villages was Tavilan-e Sofla, with 927 people.[2]
