Livadi or Leivadi (Greek: Λ[ε]ιβάδι) is a village and a former municipality in the Larissa regional unit, Thessaly, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Elassona, of which it is a municipal unit.[2]
In the Ottoman tahrir defteri of 1521, the settlement is recorded as a village with the name Livadi.[3] The village was founded by Aromanian agricultural and livestock farmers.[4] Before the 2011 local government reform it was an independent municipality.[2] The 2011 census recorded 2,674 residents in the municipal unit, and 2,244 residents in the community of Livadi.[1] The community of Livadi covers an area of 140.90 km2 while the respective municipal unit 158.273 km2.[5]
