Luke Whitehouse (born 2002)[2] is a British gymnast. He is English[3] British[4] and European Floor Champion. He won gold for the floor exercise and was part of the Great Britain team who won Team bronze at the 2023 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships.[5][6][7][8]
As a Junior, Whitehouse represented Team GB at the 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan.[9] He also competed at the inaugural 2019 Junior World Championships in Gyor, Hungary.
In June 2021 at the FIG World Challenge Cup, Osijek, Croatia in qualifying for the Floor final he became the first British gymnast to complete a triple back somersault in competition.[10][11]
At the English Championships in 2023 was gold medallist on Parallel Bars and on Floor,[3] defending his title won in 2022.[12] He won silver on vault[3] following a bronze on the apparatus in 2022.[12] All Round in 2022 he won bronze.[13]
He won bronze on Floor at the FIG World Cup, Doha-Qatar March, 2023[14] and at the FIG.Paris Challenge Cup September, 2023.[1] Selected as reserve for the World Championships in Antwerp 2023 Team GB.
