Marie-Celine Zialor is a Seychellois biological scientist currently serving as the Minister of Youth, Sports and Family since 2020.[1]

Background and career

Marie-Celine Zialor was raised in Belvedere, Plaisance where she had her primary education. She completed her A Levels in science at NYS before moving to Australia to study biological science sponsored by the Australian government. After her first degree, she furthered her studies in molecular genetics and earned a master's degree in leadership in 2005.[2] Following her return to Seychelles in 1999, she was appointed by the ministry of education to teach chemistry and biology in secondary schools. Later she became head of Anse Boileau and Mont Fleuri secondary schools before being moved to the ministry of education headquarters as head of curriculum development. Zialor left this position for Seychelles Institute of Management (SIM) now TGMI teaching leadership and management. She was appointed Minister of Youths, Sports and Family 2020 by President Wavel Ramkalawan.[3][4]
