Mason Wilson Gamble (born January 16, 1986) is an American marine biologist and former actor. He is known for his portrayal of Dennis Mitchell in the 1993 film Dennis the Menace, a role he got after beating out a reported 20,000 children who had auditioned,[2] and as Jason Schwartzman's sidekick, Dirk Calloway, in Wes Anderson's critically acclaimed 1998 film Rushmore.

Early and personal life

Gamble was born on January 16, 1986 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Sally and Tim Gamble, an actor.[3] He graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School's class of 2004. He attended UCLA and graduated in 2008. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at UCLA.

Gamble is currently a doctoral candidate in Environmental Science and Engineering at UCLA’s Institute of the Environment and Sustainability.[4]
