Middleton is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Utah, United States.[1] It is located about halfway between St. George and Washington,[2][3] on the east side of the Old Dixie Highway 91 tunnel, its main road, "Middleton Dr", is part of the old highway.[4][5]

History

It was founded in 1863, although it is now within the city limits of St. George (zip code 84770).

The first house in Middleton was built in 1872 by Alexander F. Macdonald.[6][7][8][9]
