Nick Winton is a Boston-based architect and a Principal and co-founding partner of AW-ARCH (Anmahian Winton Architects).[1] Following his B.A. from Brown University, Nick earned his M.Arch. Degree from Harvard Graduate School of Design. Nick also studied at the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies in New York.
Since it was formed in 1992, AW-ARCH has completed a broad range of notable institutional, commercial, and residential projects in the US and abroad. Winton and co-founder Alex Anmahian direct the design of all projects at AW-ARCH, including buildings, industrial objects, and furniture. The firm's work has been published widely and has been awarded the highest honors within the design industry.[2]
Winton is a former member of the Adjunct Faculty at RISD and Brown, and is a current member of the MassArt Foundation Board. He has also served as a Trustee of the Institute of Contemporary Art Boston and the Harvard GSD Alumni Council. Winton is the former Jury Chair of the Boston Society of Architects' Harleston Parker Award, and a former Architect-in Residence at the Addison Gallery of American Art at Phillips Academy Andover.
