Ocros District is one of fifteen districts of the province Huamanga in Peru.[1]
One of the highest mountains of the district is Hatun Rumi at approximately 4,200 m (13,800 ft). Other mountains are listed below:[2]
The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (81.69%) learnt to speak in childhood, 17.74% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[3]
