Oliver Webber (born 26 June 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper . Born in England, he represented Northern Ireland at youth international level.
Born in Portsmouth,[1] Webber spent his early career with Northern Irish clubs Ards Rangers and Glentoran.[2] He joined Crystal Palace in 2016.[3] After a loan spell with Dover Athletic in January 2021,[4] he signed for Portsmouth in January 2022.[3][5]
He returned to Glentoran in July 2022.[6][7] Webber was described as a "hero" after saving two penalties in the County Antrim Shield in September 2023,[8][9] and first choice goalkeeper Aaron McCarey said that Webber deserved his chance in the first-team.[10]
On 7 May 2024, it was announced that Webber would be one of ten players departing Glentoran upon the expiry of their contracts.[11]
Webber is a Northern Ireland under-21 youth international,[1][12] having previously played at under-17 and under-19 levels.[13]
