The song can be heard playing in the background of the security camera video of the 1993 murder of Texas convenience store clerk Pete Shrum, which was shown on many television news programs and documentaries in the 1990s, as well as the direct-to-video series Banned from Television.[6] Per a station identification heard after the murder occurs, the radio station playing inside the store at the time was KPLX in Dallas-Fort Worth.[7]
