Physicswallah (also as Physics Wallah) is an Indian educational technology company headquartered in Noida, India.[1][2]

History

PhysicsWallah started in 2016 as a YouTube channel founded by Alakh Pandey, a teacher from Uttar Pradesh.[3] Together with co-founder Prateek Maheshwari, Pandey built an app catering to students aspiring for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam (NEET) and Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) in 2020. The PhysicsWallah app has registering 5 lakh downloads as of 2022.[4]

In June 2022, PhysicsWallah launched its first offline center named "Vidyapeeth" in Kota, Rajasthan. PhysicsWallah also runs 28 offline centers across 20 cities such as Delhi, Bhopal, Varanasi, Lucknow, Pune, Patna, and Ranchi.[5]

In popular culture

A web series named "PhysicsWallah" on the life of Alakh Pandey and his company "PhysicsWallah" was released on 14 December 2022 on Amazon Prime's Mini TV. Alakh Pandey, who was the series' protagonist, was portrayed by Shreedhar Dubey. There are six episodes in the entire series.[6][7][8]
