Prabhakar Kore is an Indian politician and former a member of Rajya Sabha from Karnataka.[1] He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the chairman of the Karnatak Lingayat Education Society, Belagavi which runs over 280 institutions that provide education and healthcare in Karnataka and Maharashtra, India. He is also the Chancellor of KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER), Belagavi and KLE Technological University, Hubballi.

Kore is a multi-faceted personality with significant contributions in education, agriculture, healthcare, the cooperative sector, politics and community welfare - making a mark on the state, national & international scenario. He was three times member of parliament Rajyasabha 1990–1996, 2008-2014 & 2014–2020. He has also served as member of parliamentary committees for Ministry of Defense, Human resource development, Health and Family welfare, Consultative committee, Education, Railway and many more. He was also a member legislative council of Karnataka in 2001–2007.
