Robbie Tripp is an American rapper and internet personality.[1][2][3] He first rose to fame in 2017 for pioneering the "wife guy" movement and was dubbed the "curvy wife guy" by the media.[4][5][6][7]
In 2019, Tripp released his debut single Chubby Sexy,[8] which was featured as a "Moment of the Year" by GQ Magazine in its annual "Men of the Year" issue.[9]
In 2021, Tripp released his collaboration with RiFF RAFF for their single "Flamingo Freestyle".[1] He released his song "Suns in 4" with iHeart Radio host Johnjay Van Es as a Phoenix Suns anthem during the NBA Playoffs.[10] The song was named Song of the Year by the Phoenix New Times.[11]
In 2022, Tripp's single "Big Girl Banger", started a trend of curvy and plus-size women across the world dancing to the song.[1] At the same year, Tripp collaborated with Dizzy Wright on Tripp's song Raider Gang (All Black Everything), an anthem for the city's Las Vegas Raiders during the NFL playoffs.[12]
In 2023, Tripp released his next single "Basic Bro" with a music video on his YouTube channel, featuring Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, Ella Halikas.[2] Tripp collaborated with BlocBoy JB to shoot the music video for his new single “They Said”.[13] Tripp released a collaboration with rapper Lil Seeto for their single and music video "Money Honey".[3][14]
In the summer of 2023, Tripp released his new single "I Wanna Have Fun...", produced by 3-time Grammy Award-winning producer, Andrew Dawson.[15]
In October 2023, Robbie Tripp was named to a "HighKey Ent.'s Top 5 Artists of 2023" list published by Billboard.[16]
