Rose-Marie Hoareau is a Seychellois insurance underwriter currently serving as Minister of Local Government and Community Affairs since 2020.

Background and career

Rose-Marie Hoareau was born in Victoria Hospital, Seychelles and spent her early years in Cascade. She had her early education at the Regina Mundi Convent before moving to Edinburgh, Scotland with her mother at the age of ten.[1] She completed her courses in education in the United Kingdom in 1977 and returned to Seychelles where she worked as a teacher until 1980 when she left to join Sacos insurance firm as a founding member. Hoareau was appointed Minister of Local Government and Community affairs by President Wavel Ramkalawan in 2020.[2][3][4]
