Steven Prince (born 1948) is an American former producer and actor.

Career

Prince had a small speaking role in Taxi Driver (1976), as Easy Andy, a gun seller. In New York, New York (1977), Prince has a small cameo as a record producer. Prince is credited as a producer for both Scorsese's 1978 music documentary, The Last Waltz and the 1978 Scorsese-focused, made for television documentary Movies Are My Life.

In the 1978 film American Boy: A Profile of Steven Prince, Prince is interviewed by Martin Scorsese in the presence of peers such as George Memmoli and Mardik Martin. In the film, Prince states that prior to 1978, he had worked labor intensive jobs in the production of music gigs. He also states that he was a road manager for Neil Diamond. Movies Are My Life sees Prince interviewed yet again, but in this instance about Martin Scorsese.

Prince is also credited with a part in the 2001 film Waking Life, as well as a follow up to American Boy: A Profile of Steven Prince.[1][2]

During the production of Scorsese's musical homage to Hollywood's faux New York, New York, New York, Steven Prince worked as Scorsese's assistant, evidently taking notes and recording additions to Scorsese's loose script.[3]
