"Tampering is generally malicious, to gain control over some aspect of the software with an unauthorized modification that alters the computer program code and behaviour." -- This could be expressed as a presumption of a coder who implements anti-tamper measure in software but is certainly contrary to a lot of common coding practice such as modding, and is entirely contrary to the philosophy of open source.
Perhaps the current copy was written by someone who markets DRM? Dunno. Still it seems biased in contrast to typical Wikipedia policy.
