Despite his advanced age, I don't think that "Daddy" could have been a First World War veteran, with memories of trench warfare (this would make him at least in his early 90's at the time of the series!). He almost certainly served in the Second World War. (There was an episode in which "Daddy" disabled Richard's car; Onslow said he must have done this by removing the rotor arm, because that's what he would have done during "the war"--a reference, for a man of Onslow's age, to the Second World War, I would think.) I would not like to make the relevant change without general approval; perhaps someone else could do so? Rontrigger (talk) 03:46, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

"the sitcom follows her obsessive and determined attempts to impress in middle class society and portray herself as more affluent than she truly is", from the lead. She wasn't actually in a middle class society though. She wanted to impress the middle class or be in the middle class, but she wasn't in one. UK definition of middle class does not mean just having a job like it does in America 125.253.96.174 (talk) 09:39, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
Found a cafe in Helsingør, Denmark themed after this show, would this kinda of information be worth adding? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.172.220.144 (talk) 16:17, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
"The Vicar sometimes exacts comic revenge on Hyacinth for her snobbishness; on one occasion, when she was one of a group of volunteer helpers at the church, he saw to it that her hand went up prematurely and assigned her the job of cleaning the church toilets." -- In the described scene it was Vicar's wife, not the Vicar himself - see Season 3 Episode 04: "How To Go On Holiday Without Really Trying". Why no info about the theme song? I just compared to another TV series, and noticed that the theme-related entries are totally missing from the infobox. Some series boxes have them empty, but here they are absent. 82.141.67.208 (talk) 19:35, 6 December 2013 (UTC)

The article says he has flashbacks to WWII but judging from the style of helmet and other accoutrements he has, as well as his advanced age (if he is 85 in in 1975, say, he would have been born in 1895, or just about the right age to fight in WWI), I submit it should reference WWI instead.
