No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 20:11, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
Moonlight gourami → Trichopodus microlepis – Currently, the page is under moonlight gourami. I propose that it is moved to Trichopodus microlepis with moonlight gourami as a redirect as per WikiProject Fishes naming guidelines because there are at least 2 common names, both of which I come across equally regularly when communicating with fellow hobbyists:
While the number of results in themselves indicate that moonlight gourami may be more common, out of the first 20 search results for Trichopodus microlepis, only 5 mention "moonlight gourami" in the title and only 2 mention "moonbeam gourami", with the other 13 using only the scientific name or the scientific name and a non-English common name. (Note that Google search results are to some extent customised to each individual, so you are unlikely to see identical results.)
Your thoughts on the move would be appreciated (please preface with Support, Oppose or Comment).
