It should be noted for anyone that tries to clean up this mess that the part from Guiria to central Colombia is not the mainline of the Highway; make sure to read through the route description on Pan-American Highway. --SPUI 03:05, 27 Dec 2004 (UTC)

The South American par of the Pan-american Hw. don't star in Venezuela, Originaly star en Colombia, cecting whit Panama, but that conectiion don't exist in Venezuela, exist a part of the pan-merican hw. but not the principal route --Pipodv(From Wikipedia:es)201.243.7.67 02:11, 30 May 2005 (UTC)Reply[reply]

What a mess[edit]

Wikipedia is not a travel guide. (There is wikitravel for that). I am trying to turn this and the North American version into a real article - not travel tips or second-person advice. - DavidWBrooks 20:05, 2 September 2005 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ecuador section is outdated[edit]

The portion of the highway on the Peru-Ecuador border was changed and does not run through Macará anymore. It now runs through Huaquillas-Aguas Verdes. Someone needs to update this to make because it now looks un-consistent with the information on the Peruvian section. --StarbucksFreak 20:13, 16 December 2005 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Unconstructive edits?[edit]

Pluma, who seems to be a well-respected Wikipedian, questionably edited this article in November. This page had been tagged with the Copy edit template for some time, and Pluma proceeded to copy edit. After the completion of said copy editing, Pluma added the Overly detailed template and then proceeded to remove a large amount of content from the article, then altogether redirect the article to the article Pan-American Highway.

Pluma provided what seemed to be reasonable edit summaries for these edits, so I'm not sure how to approach this one. I have reverted the edits that removed content, in hopes that someone more experienced than I can determine which of these edits were warranted, and maybe figure out what, if anything, Pluma should be notified of regarding this matter.
