Have put in a clean up template and worked a bit on the intro. Though I think the information in there is generally quite good, I feel taht there is probably a bit too much detail in some places for an encycolpedia.
Also, most importantly, the 'names over the door' bit nedds to be bought properly up to date Robdurbar 11:59, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
The Rovers page was my work, I forgot to sign in previously! Thank you to all for cleaning it up. Shaneo619 13:01, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
The image Image:Newton and Ridley.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

Do we really need TWO identical photos in this article? --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 09:54, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
This article, mostly unreferenced as it is, says nothing of a Newton & Ridley plan to turn The Rovers into an American themed bar named Yankees. Thought I'd mention this as a later attempt to rename the pub is mentioned. This is Paul (talk) 20:52, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
There is a tiny, tiny stub on Newton and Ridley which can never really grow beyond stub length. Surely it would make more sense as a section in the Rovers Return article? Grutness...wha? 07:51, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

How much of the pre 1960 history (ie before Episode 1) is actually accepted as cannon by the production team, especially the staff? I know for example that the Corbishley family. Janey Atkinson and Bridges were included in tie-in media in the 1990s, notably Daran Little's books, but I am not sure they and some of the other staff listed here have ever been mentioned on screen or if they are considered definitive by the current production team (I have a vague feeling that George Diggins may have been mentioned as proceeding the Walkers on screen, but am not certain). If they just appear in extended media, then that should perhaps be noted. Equally some of the staff names here are unfamiliar to me, and I do not think ever appeared in the series. If they did come in from tie-in media, it would be helpful for a source to be cited. Dunarc (talk) 20:10, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
