I think that John Honeyman, the saccharide chemist who was a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in the Chemistry Department at King's College London, may have joined the Shirley Institute in a senior capacity some time in the 1960s or later, but I am not sure about this. He published extensively. Michael P. Barnett (talk) 22:24, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In the 1970s I had a brief personal link to the Shirley Institute, and remember the name of a Dr. Honeyman there. Feline Hymnic (talk) 21:28, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It seems that there is a big overlap between this article and The Towers (Manchester). I suggest that they could comfortably be merged. Cnbrb (talk) 10:51, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
"The Towers" is primarily focussed on the building and its varied history, whereas "Shirley Institute" was an organisation which was based in the building and its grounds for a few decades. Feline Hymnic (talk) 21:26, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
