Hey, I'm going to be reviewing this article. Expect comments by the end of the week. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 21:39, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Move the short description to the top of the article (MOS:ORDER).
"The film continues the story of pool hustler and stakehorse Edward "Fast Eddie" Felson from Tevis' first novel, The Hustler (1959), with Newman reprising his role from the 1961 film adaptation." – this entire sentence is not mentioned or sourced anywhere in the article.
"A challenge nine-ball match was named after it in 1997 at which Efren Reyes defeated Earl Strickland to win the largest single match purse in pool history of $100,000." – a large part of this sentence is unsourced.
"The Color of Money is an American sports film directed by Martin Scorsese and was released by Touchstone Pictures." → "The Color of Money is an American sports film directed by Martin Scorsese and released by Touchstone Pictures."
Done I have expanded this. Any of the top critics that aren't cited are region locked away from me. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs) 14:33, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Several awards in #Accolades are unsourced. I would suggest adding a reference column.
Added a couple. Struggling with a few others. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs) 21:02, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have commented out the remaining things I can't find, with the view to see if we can cite after promotion. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs) 14:33, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
"... his first Oscar win after eight nominations, seven of them for Best Actor." – source
#Production should probably be expanded to cover where the film was shot, how it was made, and its post-production phase (editing and soundtrack).s
I've added a piece on where it was filmed, but I don't really know where you'd find info on editing? Soundtrack is covered in it's own section. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs) 10:44, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the info. I'm sure we could cite to the episode of the show, but I don't think that would even cover what was said. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs) 08:44, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
that is a good citation. I'll add something as soon as I can. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs) 13:03, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a little, about the editor, cinematographer, budget etc. from that source. Everything else is mostly quotes and hyperbole, unless you can see something additional. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs) 13:37, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
