Taras Hromyak (born March 19, 1993) is a Ukrainian footballer who plays as a midfielder.
Hromyak initially played with FC Ternopil's reserve squad in the Ternopil local circuit.[1] He would join the professional ranks by signing with the senior team that competed in the Ukrainian Second League during the 2013-14 season.[1][2] Following a brief stint at the professional level, he returned to the amateur ranks by playing in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Football Federation region with Kalush in 2013.[3]
He returned to Ternopil in the summer of 2015 to play in the country's second-tier league.[4][5] In his debut season in the second division, he appeared in 14 matches.[6]
In the summer of 2017, he went abroad to play in the southern Ontario-based Canadian Soccer League with FC Ukraine United.[7][8] In his debut season with the western Toronto side, he assisted the team in securing the divisional title.[9][10] He would also finish as the second division's top goal scorer with 15 goals.[11] In the second round of the playoffs, the club faced Brantford Galaxy II where Ukraine United successfully advanced to the championship finals.[12] Hromyak was featured in the championship final match where he contributed two goals against Burlington SC to secure the title for the club.[13]
In 2018, he re-signed with Ukraine United and played in the league's first division.[14][15] He would help the club in securing the divisional title and as a result in clinching a playoff berth.[16][17] However, the Toronto side was eliminated from the postseason competition in the second round by Scarborough SC.[18] He would also finish as the club's second-highest goal scorer with 8 goals.[19]
In 2019, he returned to the Ukrainian Amateur Football League to play with Nyva Terebovlia.[20][15] In 2020, he played with Agron where he was named the Ternopil's region best player of the year.[21] The following season he sustained an injury which ruled him out for the majority of the season.[22]
