This template may be placed on a talk page to request an edit of the corresponding template-protected template or its documentation subpage (if also protected). The use of this template should be accompanied by a clear and specific description of the requested change, and if the request is anything other than merely technical, consensus should be sought before the template is added (that is, you should seek consensus first, and then place this template after it has been obtained or no objections have been raised). Please see Wikipedia:Edit requests for guidance, especially if this is the first time you are making an edit request.

All parameters are optional.
ans– set this to "yes", "y", "true" or "1" to mark the edit request as answered. This removes the page from the edit request category.
demo– set this to "yes", "y", "true" or "1" to demonstrate the template. This suppresses categories and namespace checks.
force– set this to "yes", "y", "true" or "1" to force the template to use a template-protected request rather than automatically detecting the page's protection level. This allows e.g. a template-protected request to be made for a semi-protected page, which would be necessary if you were requesting that the page's content model be changed.
