An 1884
lithographic bird's-eye map of
Cedar Key, a city on the west coast of the U.S. state of
Florida. Originally an important
port, Cedar Key declined in importance once
railroads reached
Tampa to the south, and after an
1896 hurricane and a large fire later that year. The city is now best known as a tourist resort.
