Criteria
The Defender of the Wiki may be awarded to those who have gone above and beyond to prevent Wikipedia from losing its fundamental principles
Usage
To use this Barnstar template, create a new section on the user talkpage of the user you want to give the award to, and add ((subst:The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar|1=Put your message here. ~~~~))
to the talk page of the user to whom you wish to award it.
This barnstar has an alternate version.
To use, add |2=alt to the end:
((subst:The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar|1=Put your message here. ~~~~|2=alt))
Which produces:
