Since the 1960s, The Marvel Comics superhero, Thor has appeared in a wide variety of media outside of comic books including films, television programs and video games.
Thor appears in a self-titled segment of The Marvel Super Heroes, voiced by Jack Creley.[1][2][3]

In 1990, after finishing with the filming of Darkman, Sam Raimi and Stan Lee originally pitched the concept of a Thor feature film to 20th Century Fox. However, they did not understand Raimi's and Lee's idea and the project was abandoned.[18]
Chris Hemsworth stars as the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, first appearing in Thor (2011),[19] The Avengers (2012),[20] Thor: The Dark World (2013),[21] Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015),[22] Thor: Ragnarok (2017)[23] Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). Hemsworth cameos in the mid-credits of Doctor Strange (2016).[24]

A four episode motion comic titled Thor & Loki: Blood Brothers, based on the graphic novel Loki by Robert Rodi and Esad Ribić, was released on March 28, 2011 on iTunes, Xbox Live, and the PlayStation Network.[46]
