Surender Baswana (born 26 August 1974) is a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He is currently on leave and working as a researcher at the Humboldt University of Berlin since December, 2018.
Surender Baswana obtained a B.Tech. from IIT Delhi (1997 batch). He completed MTech and Ph.D. from the same institute.
He is widely popular for his teaching and has been awarded Best Faculty Award by the graduating batch of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kanpur for the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2018.
He has worked intensively in the fields of Graph algorithms and Data Structures.
