North Berwick Sevens is an annual rugby sevens tournament held by North Berwick RFC in Recreation Park, North Berwick, Scotland.
The first rugby sevens tournament took place in 1960.
There is also a Plate competition run. Winner of the Plate receives the McCutcheon Plate.[1] The 2019 winner of the McCutcheon Plate was North Berwick RFC.[2]
The North Berwick Sevens also host a women's tournament.[3]
Alongside the Sevens tournament is a Tens tournament for the Under 18s.[4]
Winners of the Tens tournament receives the Housecall Trophy. [5]
Howard Selby sponsored the 2019 Tens tournament.[6]
Boroughmuir RFC won the 2019 Housecall Trophy.[7]
The Housecall Trophy was first played for in 2009 with North Berwick RFC beating Boroughmuir RFC in the final.[8]
The 2019 tournament saw invited sides The Mighty Bovs, Drill Squad, Edinburgh Ultras and Try Me a River.[9]
The winners receive the Stewart Cup. Prior to 1974 the winners received the North Berwick RFC Sevens trophy.
The player of the tournament receives the Josh James-Stewart Memorial Trophy.[10]
