About Me

My first language is English and I also speak Spanish and Italian.

I live in Madrid, Spain and make natural Organic wine. I have several small vineyards, one in the village of Carabaña and the other in Villarejo, both (in the Tajuña Valley, about 50 km from Madrid), to the South-east, in the direction of Valencia. The one in Carabaña is planted to white Airén and red Tempranillo, and the one in Villarejo to white Malvar. My other vineyards, planted to Garnacha, Albillo and Chelva are in the Sierra de Gredos mountains, about 90 km from Madrid in the other direction (ie, towards Avila)

I am in the process of transforming this expensive, time-consuming, family-life-destroying project into a viable small business (!). I moved into a new bodega (winery) last year (2013) in the village of El Tiemblo.

I've been making wine for 12 years now (since 2003). I 'discovered' the internet and social media back in 2009 and now I write a [blog] and am active on Twitter, FaceBook and LinkedIn.

Other Interests apart from Wine

Apart from the above, I find the topic of wine in general quite interesting!

What I've done on WikiProject:Wine

I've finally finished creating articles for all the Spanish quality wine regions. It took me quite some time, but it's done at last :)

Possible Tasks that I Could Do Next:

OK, this is what's really on the cards at the moment (22 April 09):

Otazu, Prado de Irache, Señorío de Arínzano, La Gomera (DO), Gran Canaria (DO), Catalunya (DO), Tierra del Vino de Zamora DO and Tierra de León (DO)

And this is what I'd like to do, but probably won't get round to doing for a long time(!):
