Brad Matthew Augustine Peterson (born 14 July 1969) is an American singer-songwriter / producer from Chicago, Illinois, and currently based in in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood. His music has been downloaded over 500,000 times and has achieved top-10 rankings on billboard charts.

Peterson Moved to Chicago's Wicker Park are 1n 1993 where he assisted in the design and building of Gravity Sudios. Soon after completion he began to tour as a solo artist where he befriended and performed with Jeff Buckley in New York's CBGBs.

In early 1994 BP formed "Brad Peterson Band" which was changed to "peatmoss" and employed Matt Walker on Drums, John Schulte and Arch Alcantara. Peatmoss released an EP, "Keepsakes in the garbage", in the US and an LP, "Pale Pale Ale", in Europe. In 1995, Peatmoss reached top ten in college charts and were played extensively on A3 stations including hometown WXRT before they finally disbanded in 1997.

After a seven year hiatus, Peterson reemerged into the Chicago music scene with his first solo record titled, "The Red Album" on the BP Labs label, which claimed critical acclaim.
