Charmaine Piamonte is the Philippines’ newest singing sweetheart. Her participation in the Pinoy Pop Superstar is considered her first big break, although she did not bag the grand prize. She is a vivid adherent of some acts like Regine Velasquez, Kyla, Kitchie Nadal, Lara Fabian, Mariah Carey and Avril Lavigne.

Ana Charmaine Piamonte was born at Quiapo, Manila on December 24, 1988. she is the youngest of the three siblings of Moises Piamonte and Elvira Piamonte. Other siblings are Maryan and Isagani.

This Disney Characters’ lover sets her mood in pink colors but her obsession to music is her greatest boon. Wishing to become a singer, Charmaine made preparations in order to improve her vocal styles.

Having discovered early her God-given talent, Charmaine started honing her talent by joining several singing competitions, in or outside the school. During her elementary years, she sang Isang Lahi of Regine Velasquez and brought home the second prize.

Her biggest break ever was when she auditioned for the newly-launched singing reality showdown on TV, the Pinoy Pop Superstar of GMA Network. After submitting herself into very competitive screenings, she was fortunate to showcase her undeniable flair on TV.


Not just she’s beautiful and talented, Charmaine also possessed an X factor that can be seen seldom in today’s rising artists. This charisma made her endearing to the fans until the very end of the show.

The remaining eight contenders fought for the championship title, and Charmaine was one of the hopefuls. From 8, it reduced to four where they have to sing their personally-picked song. Charmaine did a flawless rendition of I Will Love Again, Brenan Espartinez on his Careless Whisper, Michael Garcia with his She’s Out Of My Life and the emerging winner, Jonalyn Viray on her unadulterated Run To You and the winning piece, My Miracle.

Though lost in the battle, Charmaine remained spirited and optimistic. Everything doesn’t end at the culmination of the show. However, it paved way for their yet-to-come successes. Pinoy Pop Superstar had given the viewers the chance to relish sumptuous voices of these future stars. It already filled up the void for something wholesome, fresh and vibrant.

Charmaine, together with the other contenders: Brenan and Michael finally made their voices be heard in a three-in-one album under GMA Records. Entitled BMC, it showcased the different knacks of these three gifted.

Brenan grooved with the R&B, whose smooth vocal style resembled the Prince of Pop, Jay-R. Charmaine on the other hand, flaunted herself into power ballads and with her impeccable voice, she succeed in doing so. Michael cherished on the vintage romances, done in a very comforting and tranquil renditions.

Aside from singing, Charmaine also found consolation in her acting flair. She gained access into the silver screen and visible in some shows and programs of GMA Network.
