- ^ Remember to omit the disambiguation. Same goes for the "official name" and "civil parish" particulars.
- ^ Be sure to link to the correct title of the district's article since some area at "Foo District" and "Borough of Foo" etc, see WP:UKDISTRICTS and remember this in the infobox to. Thus if the district is disambiguated it should be piped, thus like Stafford for example. Also check the district's category which is generally the same as the article but might be disambiguated (such as Category:Borough of West Devon/West Devon) or there may only be 1 category despite there being 2 articles such as Bromsgrove/Bromsgrove District but only Category:Bromsgrove. All categories should be in the Category:Districts of England tree.
- ^ Ceremonial county, not unitary authority area, thus Waters Upton is in the county of Shropshire, not Telford and Wrekin. For stating the county see List of English districts
- ^ Distance as the crow flies from the county town. For the county town of a particular county see County town#Historic counties of England, for the others (or even all) the largest settlement can be used, see Settlements in English counties by population. The existing coordinates of the county town/largest settlement can be used for determining its location, in comparison to the parish.
- ^ If there is no census date due to it being a small parish this sentence is omitted and the "population" and "population_ref" are omitted from the infobox but the area is still included. The citation can be a general reference.
- ^ Links to the articles based on coordinates, if it can't find the correct link it just uses the plain link (even if that's to a DAB page). To find the correct parish, match the name with the coordinates from choosing from the district, thus from Mid Suffolk find "Rattlesden" in the "Parish" section.
- ^ To find the correct list of listed buildings go to https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/england then select the correct county/district and then parish, to check the correct parish has been selected (for if there are multiple in a district) check the coordinates of the buildings with those from City Population or Ordnance Survey.
(These won't actually appear in the articles, this just clarifies things).
