BeforeAfter
Some Wikipedians get very stressed by their experiences here. That's a shame.
Others get jaded and fed up for various different reasons.
I thought I'd collate some suggestions for wikistressed editors — my thoughts on how you can get your Mojo back again. And don't go on wikibreak - we lose you. And you're a great editor! Take a look at these suggestions.
There's no great magic here; it's mostly going back to basics, but if it works for just one person, this task has been valuable.
WP:TWINKLE Add it. It makes life soooo much easier. And makes vandal-fighting great fun. (OK, I admit, I'm a saddo) (Doesn't work very well on Internet Explorer).
WP:PR Review an article and tell others how they can improve it.
C:STUBS Find a stub in a topic that interests you and expand it.
WP:PRODSUM Find an article listed for PROD that looks like it shouldn't be deleted (especially easy with BLPPRODs, as the worst offenders tend to be speedied), and reference it.
For grizzled old hands
WP:REQUEST Enough stuff there for an army of eager beavers.
Unwatch and stay well away from RFC and arbitration pages. Unless you're directly involved. In which case, you might remain wikistressed for a bit longer.
I'll be the first :) Not so much a stressed editor, but came across your essays while looking for something to do on Wikipedia, as you do. Some great suggestions here, many of which I've never come across before. Thanks a lot! Schumi555 23:55, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
Helpful! I am not in that stress but recommended it ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:56, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
Nicely done! Adding to my list of helpful articles! Montanabw(talk) 16:38, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
Good advice. Perhaps add something about not getting any response on talk pages? --Mortense (talk) 12:40, 15 October 2017 (UTC)
Thanks. I appreciate the helpful advice. Will try to put it into operation. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 15:29, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
When I am severely wikistressed, I take a wikibreak of varying durations. I always return energized and eager to work. I highly recommend leaving for a bit of time rather than turning grumpy and bitter which helps no one at all. LizRead!Talk! 17:44, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
