goodbees^[1] is a Singapore food sponsoring marketplace. It is a mobile application which aims to support social service agencies^[2] (SSAs), welfare organizations, and religious institutions to either receive or provide food sponsorships for their beneficiaries. The platform thus connects these aforementioned organizations, sponsors and Food & Beverages (F&B) vendors on one centralized platform.

In the last quarter of 2019, the founder of goodbees, Thameemul Ansari, discovered that welfare, social, and religious organizations needed a centralized platform to attract food sponsorship for their beneficiaries. An evaluation on a solution to distribute surplus food from events eventually evolved towards the sponsorship model!

After several months of designing and developing the App from the ground, the initial rollout began in July 2020, and was distributed on the Google Play store. Subsequently the App Store version was released in the same year as well.

goodbees is pioneering food sponsorship marketplace in Singapore. It provides the capability and access for sponsors to order food or any daily necessities to the beneficiaries of the organizations who are mostly from lower income background. Besides food sponsorship, the platform also provides access to volunteering opportunities. This centralized platform allows users to make donations-in-kind instead of the usual monetary donations.

There are various users on the platform: SSAs, welfare organizations, religious institutions (Organizations), Beneficiaries (clients for the aforementioned organizations), Sponsors, and F&B vendors. Thus, Beneficiaries can tap on sponsorship from the three different users (Organizations, Sponsors or Vendors).
