This is an archive of the Esperanza User Page Award, retained primarily for historical interest.
A historical page usually is one that is no longer maintained or no longer relevant, or one for which consensus is unclear. If you want to revive discussion regarding the subject, you should seek broader input via a forum such as the proposals page of the village pump.
Welcome to the Esperanza User Page Award! All the information you'll need to have fun with this program is listed below! If you have any questions or suggestions, please list them on the talk page or contact: Petros471 (talk·contribs) or Shreshth91 (talk·contribs) . Remember to have fun!
List yourself here if you'd like to become a judge. The first five users will become the judges for the current contest. If you are the first person to sign up for a judges spot you will have to judge the first three user pages that are nominated. (So judge 1 will get nominations 1-3, judge 2 will get 4-6, and so on.)
There will be an additional two spots for alternate judges. They will inherit the user pages of the judge they replaced. The reason for the alternate judges is to quickly replace a judge who hasn't the time to judge the current contest. Please do not sign up to judge if you did it last time. You may, however, place your name on the alternate list.
(Please note: If your page is nominated and you want to be a judge, you will have to forfeit one or the other. To clarify, you'll have to choose between being a judge or having your page considered for the award.)
Please note: After 15 user pages have been nominated, new nominations should not be added until the current list is cleared.
Please provide the link of the user page you'd like to nominate for the award. You'll need to provide the link to the user page as is at the point of nomination. Changes to user pages will be discounted after judging starts. Please be certain before nominating a user page that it has not already received the award. Judges cannot nominate userpages.
Judges: After you receive your three assigned user pages, list your favorite here. Please include a short statement as to why you picked that page as your finalist. Please use your corresponding number to list your finalist. (If you're judge 1, please put your finalist in spot 1, and so on.) After the 5 finalists are chosen, the judges should score them as follows.
Scoring will be out of 10 points in the following categories:
Attractiveness
Usefulness
Interestingness
General niceness
Please remember to include subpages in your judging.
This current overseer is Celestianpower. Please contact him when you are ready to email your scores, giving a concise summary of the points awarded in each category for each candidate.
Kindly use the layout shown on this page when e-mailing the results to the overseer.
The scores should not be posted on this page. After the judges have scored each finalist, they should email the contest overseer. After all the scores have been tallied, the overseer will announce the winner.
