Restaurants at the End of the World is a series by National Geographic hosted by Kristen Kish.[1]
The 2023 series included four episodes featuring remote restaurants in Panama, Norway, Maine, and Brazil.[2] In each location Kish assists the restaurant owners and chefs in sourcing, preparing, and serving meals.[3]
In Boquete, Panama, Kish travelled to the cloud forest to Hacienda Mamecillo, which does one serving per day for a small group with foraged and locally-sourced seasonal ingredients.[2][4][5] In Svalbard, Norway on the Arctic Ocean she visited Isfjord Radio Adventure Hotel, which is run by a trained chef and uses local and also delivered ingredients, which they often preserve for periods between deliveries.[2][5][6] In North Haven Island, Maine she featured Turner Farm, a restaurant.[2][4] In Paraty, Brazil she featured Sem Pressa, a floating restaurant in the rainforest.[2][5]
