Boilerplate response to vandals who answer on my talk page:

First of all, I'm sorry if I misinterpreted your edit. As you probably know or might have guessed, Wikipedia must maintain a strict policy on vandalism; you can read about it here. While your edits may not have actually been vandalism, as I was watching the recent changes I saw them and quickly had to pass a judgment on whether or not they were vandalism -- since, as you would imagine, Wikipedia gets quite a bit of vandalism -- and whether to revert them. In doing so I may have acted a bit too hastily.
