AlexNewArtBot recently caught Pinella, an old restaurant in Turku, Finland in the CzechSearchResult because the article includes the word "bohemian". However, the word is used in the sense "unconventional, nonconformist" while the bot apparently thought it meant someone actually from Bohemia. As the exact same word is used for both meanings, can this be solved at all? JIP | Talk 20:11, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
The bot's listing breaks if a user name contains an angle bracket. See this entry at User:AlexNewArtBot/GoodSearchResult:

The bot listed Iikka Kivi at the MicronesiaSearchResult because the article contains the word "nauru". Now "nauru" means "laughter" in Finnish, it has nothing to do with the island of Nauru. Can this somehow be disambiguated? JIP | Talk 21:36, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
The bot listed Unsafe firearm and cartridge combinations at the FinlandSearchResult because of two matches: lapua and saami. "Lapua" was correct because Lapua is the name of a Finnish arms manufacturer, but "saami" was not. What the bot caught was SAAMI, a redirect to Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute, an American institute that has nothing to do with the Sámi people. Would anyone know why the bot is "suspended" for Trinidad and Tobago, and how I could maybe fix that? Thanks and kind regards, Grueslayer 18:26, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
It would be nice if the bot also scanned Userspace drafts that get moved into Draftspace, the way it does for other pages moved into Mainspace. When a page is created as a Userspace draft and submitted for AfC, it is then moved into Draftspace to await review, but the bot does not currently monitor these moves. Such pages are likely of interest to users monitoring the feeds, as they can often be rescued if declined. --Paul_012 (talk) 08:36, 11 December 2021 (UTC)

Hey, @Bamyers99
I don't know if I'm allowed to give suggestions, but based on my limited experience with different Wikimedia versions (mainly French, in which they have a similar bot for new articles), I wanted to ask if it's possible to only keep the full title of the article and the date. Here's an example.
My second question is how the bot gets the related articles. In French, for example, the portal bar is mandatory and the bot can easily get new articles with the related portal, so it's easy to grab the data with accuracy. However, here (in English Wikipedia), as far as I can see (I could be wrong), the portal isn't necessary. So I noticed that sometimes the results aren't 100% related to the Algerian portal, for example, and you get some African palettes created, or articles in which Algeria is mentioned briefly etc.
Regards

Hi,
I'm not sure who responds here considering the fact that user who created this bot has not been active since 2022 but I figured I'd give it a try and ask @Bamyers99 (since he seems to be the one who is responding on concerns regarding this bot) to help me with this request.
So, I asked on Serbian Wikipedia if our bots can create a bot where it will populate all the new articles created in Portal:Association Football on Serbian Wikipedia. One of the bot owners has advised me to ask if it's possible with this bot to integrate the option of "tracking" Serbian Wikipedia for new articles in this portal.
Can someone, please, help me with this matter ?
