Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Shoebill, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! ◢ Ganbaruby! Please stop adding ((rfc)) tags to pages in User: and User talk: space - these locations are completely inappropriate. Before starting another RfC, anywhere, please read WP:RFC carefully, in particular the section Before starting the process. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:45, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Redrose64: Thank you! I followed exactly what said here to create a project page and hold an RFC. I made many attempts (Yes I've read WP:RFC) but couldn't figure out what went wrong. Could you plz help? BunbunYU (talk) 22:56, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Research recruitment is a dead proposal, and was downgraded to essay status some years ago. Its directions are no longer valid. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 23:01, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Redrose64: Thanks! That's good to know. So what's the new procedure for submitting a research proposal and getting community consent? BunbunYU (talk) 23:05, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Redrose64:Wikipedia:Research recruitment has nothing that says it is "a dead proposal" or that "its directions are no longer valid". True it has an "essay" template, but so do many live pages that we rely on on a daily basis. Please consider how the page appears to new editors and bear that in mind when raising such issues with them - or consider revising that page so its deprecated nature is more readily apparent.
