Hello, Charles Gaudette, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Newcomers help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type ((helpme))
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!
Thanks for taking the time to cleanup the heatsink article. =) --mboverload@ 00:04, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Nice work on the Computer cooling article, even though it's almost exlusively changing "heatsink" to "heat sink". I'd have been to lazy to do it. ;)
No worries, mate! Didn't mean to mark the move minor, that was an oversight on my part. I don't mind being called on it when I mess something up, but would appreciate a some gentle explanation on what problems I caused along with it. If I don't know exactly what I did wrong, I'm still liable to do a again! ;-) --jwandersTalk 21:40, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
The current WP:MAC collaboration is Apple II family. Please devote some time to improve this article to featured status. — Wackymacs 14:00, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
The Zoological Center Tel Aviv-Ramat Gan (which includes both a safari park and a regular zoo) is special because it is also known as Safari in Hebrew, in other words, Safari is one of its names. By contrast, for example, is Longleat, which no one would call just 'Safari'. However, if you feel strongly about it, please create a list of safari parks or something. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 02:42, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
I think the "bookshop" would be descriptive enough to disambiguate W H Smith from other Smiths that someone might be looking for, without "chic" (or "high street", for that matter). -- JHunterJ 02:57, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Sorry about the vandalism on the carbon nanotube article, it was probably one of my brothers. --213.202.143.137 21:17, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 13:44, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I see you were correct to move the article to the new location Oxford Dictionary of English. How did you do it? It appears that the history has not been copied over, so could it be possible that the page existed already, and you copied and pasted? I just find it difficult to check the history now. May I suggest that you ask for admin assistance to move the history over. Thanks, Widefox 00:22, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Wouldn't that be the other way around — "there are motherboards for 64-bit Athlons which can use 32-bit ones."? Maybe I was trying to be too concise, but the point remains: if you don't design for 64-bit from the beginning you cannot get there later.--Charles Gaudette 16:27, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm conducting a survey about the Apple II -- any former users are invited to participate. I found you were active on Apple II related articles.

Regarding your recent edit to Safari, if you have a better understanding of the Arabic source, that is great, but the New Oxford American Dictionary — the cited reference — definitely has "to travel" as the Arabic meaning. Do you have a reference you can contribute? --Charles Gaudette 21:41, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Mac os x dictionary 1 0 1 aboutbox.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. I would appreciate your input over at Dextroamphetamine. I'm getting frustrated and having a hard time staying civil with an editor who seems determined to change certain statements, but is unable or unwilling to read the literature. You can find the relevant dicussion at Talk:Dextroamphetamine#chronic_use_section. KonradG 17:31, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
i saw your comments on bikni news and totally agree. btw i could use your advice on various issues thanks.Heideggger 21:12, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
You may already be watching these pages, so this comment would be redundant, but just in case, I've proposed that somebody (other than me) propose a merger: Talk:Thermal grease#Merge_with_thermal_interface_material --ToobMug 11:05, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
You'll need to discuss this at talk. Now you've made it U dot S dot, then US in the same sentence. It looks so sloppy. Then we have U dot S dot and UK. Needs consensus. TONY (talk) 07:05, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey, your opinion is requested at the talk page of the platypus article, to finally put this stupid capitalisation debate to rest. Cheers! Aaadddaaammm (talk) 11:08, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Greetings Charles Gaudette-
My name is Randall Livingstone, and I am a doctoral student at the University of Oregon, studying digital media and online community. I am posting to invite you to participate in my research study exploring the work of Wikipedia editors who are members of WikiProject: Countering Systemic Bias. The online survey should take 20 to 25 minutes to complete and can be found here:
https://oregon.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_cSHzuwaQovaZ6ss
Your responses will help online communication researchers like me to better understand the collaborations, challenges, and purposeful work of Wikipedia editors like you. In addition, at the end of the survey you will have the opportunity to express your interest in a follow-up online interview with the researcher.
This research project has been reviewed and approved by the Wikimedia Research Committee as well as the Office for Protection of Human Subjects at the University of Oregon. For a detailed description of the project, please visit its Meta page. This survey is voluntary, and your confidentiality will be protected. You will have the choice of using your Wikipedia User Name during the research or creating a unique pseudonym. You may skip any question you choose, and you may withdraw at any time. By completing the survey, you are providing consent to participate in the research.
If you have any questions about the study, please contact me via my Talk Page (UOJComm) or via email. My faculty advisor is Dr. Ryan Light. If you have any questions regarding your rights as a research participant, please contact the Office for Protection of Human Subjects at the University of Oregon.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Randall Livingstone School of Journalism & Communication University of Oregon UOJComm (talk) 03:47, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hello there, I am trying to revive the Apple WikiProject. Please come back and add your name to the participant list if you'd like to help me. Let's make this awesome. Come by today! Thank you, DJAustin (talk) 14:54, 17 June 2017 (UTC)

Hello Charles Gaudette,
You've been identified either as a previous member of the project, an active editor on Apple related pages, a bearer of Apple related userboxes, or just a hoopy frood.
