Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to UBC Department of Computer Science. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Also, please edit articles in an encyclopædic style, not a promotional pamphlet. Shadowssettle(talk) 22:11, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Shadowssettle. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, UBC Department of Computer Science, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Uncited material may be removed entirely, and articles without citations are not considered noteworthy, so may be deleted. It's easy to find a few newspaper articles, academic conference information pages, or history books covering most topics, which you might want to take a look at. University-produced material is allowed for individual details, but not if it is of a promotional nature, nor may it be used to establish notability. Shadowssettle(talk) 22:15, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
