Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited ETA (separatist group), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page El Mundo. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Formal mediation has been requested

The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Undue weight and original research in the Causes of the War of the Pacific". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 8 March 2016.

Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

Góngora

Hello, about this Góngora thing. The problem is not necessarily that other persons may bear that name as well, but the question is whether they are referred to as Góngora. I must admit I don't know the poet, but when I run an internet search on Góngora, the vast majority of results are related to the poet and not any other person. In Wikipedia terms that would be called the primary topic, if you are familiar with the concept. That's also the way it was set up before you modified the page. Do you therefore have anything substantial which could motivate a change of primary topic? If you do, I would suggest we revert the name to its original redirect, and file a WP:RM request so that other editors could judge if a change of primary topic is appropriate. I have partially fixed your posts in that thread, with the effect that the RfC is now listed properly - but I would be grateful if you would fix your signature so that such problems do not occur gong forward. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 21:08, 12 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Human sacrifice you included material copied from 1960 Valdivia earthquake. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Conspiracy theories about Adolf Hitler's death

Ambox warning pn.svg You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Conspiracy theories about Adolf Hitler's death; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

Your recent editing history at Conspiracy theories about Adolf Hitler's death shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
