Wikiproject

[edit]

Sorry if you already know this, but Wikipedia has pages called Wikiprojects that are used to coordinate editor's efforts in a similar manner to this electronic structure task force. Many of these Wikiprojects have task forces or groups within them that the Electronic structure task force could work with or possibly merge with.

Here's some WikiProjects you might want to work with (my knowledge in this topic is limited so you probably know other relevant topics): Wikipedia:WikiProject Physical Chemistry Wikipedia:WikiProject Physics WP:WikiProject Chemistry

There are plenty of other relevant WikiProjects out there you might want to work with: this page has a directory of science WikiProjects.

You could even create your own WikiProject if you wanted (the topic of electronic structure should be wide enough). If you want to do that and need assistance, I can help.

Hope this helps you guys get started and welcome to Wikipedia!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page or e-mail me.

Yes, I did read about WikiProjects, but I thought that the guidelines for setting up a new WikiProject looked a little daunting. I'm inclined to see first if the present informal format will work; if not, I would consider trying to convert it to a proper WikiProject.

(Or, if anybody out there wants to volunteer to do it, please let me know.)

SklogWiki

[edit]

Dear Dhv7,

I would like to say that your Electronic Structure Task Force initiative is very interesting. I would like take this opportunity to invite yourself and your collaborators to consider also adding any material, particularly the proposed work on:

to the wiki web site www.SklogWiki.org, where you will be most welcome. SklogWiki, like Wikipedia, uses the MediaWiki software, so editing SklogWiki is as easy as editing Wikipedia.

All the best for the future, Dr. Carl McBride. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.96.5.37 (talk) 10:32, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
