Fudgepucker1, to answer your question, Dianne Feinstein did not come from “average beginnings”. Her mother was a model and father a surgeon. She has been married for 30 years to Richard C. Blum, chairman and president of Blum Capital, an equity investment management firm. Nancy Pelosi also did not come from average beginnings. Her father was a U.S. Congressman and later Mayor of Baltimore. She has been married to Paul Pelosi for 57 years. He earned his MBA at Stern, studied at Harvard, and founded and runs the venture capital firm Financial Leasing Services, and sits on many philanthropic and corporate boards. Joe Biden served in the Senate for 36 years, which actually pays fairly well. He was VP for eight years, at $230,000 a year. He earned $540,000 as a professor, over $8 million in books. His wife has a bachelors, two masters, and a doctorate and has also earned as an author. His current net worth is around $9 million, which is not staggering by any means.
