Hi! I recently created an awesome subpage where you can share your favorite websites with other Wikipedians. Just click HERE. Thanks! If you liked that page, remember to check out my other subpages! --S-man 03:44, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Hi. Is Image:Assapan-drawing.jpg the correct species you want? I added it to Siberian Flying Squirrel. please check -- Chris 73 | Talk 20:09, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
I came across template:familytree yesterday. It seems like it might be very useful, but I am afraid it is still a bit complex for me. I figured if anyone could explain it to me, you could. It seems like it could be made to turn an Ahnentafel into a (sideways) tree with links, though I think a bit less automatically than I would wish<g>. For example, someone just added a lot of Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna of Russia's ancestry in her first paragraph, which would probably better be treated as the sort of family tree that the template produces, later in the article. How would one go from an Ahnentafel (see below) to a tree? Is there any nearlly automatic way to do it? - Nunh-huh 20:29, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Ahnentafel for Olga
1 Olga of Russia.
2 Nicholas II of Russia.
3 Alix von Hessen.
4 Alexander III of Russia.
5 Dagmar of Denmark.
6 Ludwig IV von Hessen und bei Rhine.
7 Alice of Great Britain and Ireland.
8 Alexander II of Russia.
9 Marie von Hessen-Darmstadt.
10 Christian IX of Denmark.
11 Louise von Hessen-Kassel.
12 Karl von Hessen und bei Rhine.
13 Elisabeth of Prussia.
14 Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
15 Victoria of England.
16 Nicholas I of Russia.
17 Charlotte of Prussia.
18 Ludwig II von Hessen und bei Rhine.
19 Wilhelmina of Baden.
20 Wilhelm von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksborg.
21 Louisa von Hessen-Kassel.
22 Wilhelm von Hessen-Kassel.
23 Louise Charlotte of Denmark.
24 Ludwig II von Hessen und bei Rhine. (Same as ahnentafel number 18.)
25 Wilhelmina of Baden. (Same as ahnentafel number 19.)
26 Wilhelm of Prussia.
27 Marianne von Hessen-Homburg.
28 Ernest I von Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
29 Louise of Saxe-Coburg-Altenburg.
30 Edward of Great Britain and Ireland.
31 Viktoria von Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld.
To make something like: but wiki-clickable.
I saw a comment somewhere that you had a (mostly) working version of this template utilizing wikitable code instead of raw HTML. Would it be possible to see where this is located, and what its current status is? I cannot seem to get ((familytree)) to load on Wikia. -- nae'blis 01:00, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Joel Leyden is a known SEO spammer and states that on his website. He is using Wikipedia, and has admitted as such, to get traffic to his blog. He is not a noted journalist. I state this unequivocally as someone who has worked for 15 years in the Israeli media, and as anyone from the Hebrew wikipedia will tell you. In fact, he is an unknown in Israel. Here is a classic example of someone abusing wikipedia for personal gain. What is worse, his blog (and as an examination will show, it is nothing more) is one of the tools he is using to fight a custody battle with his ex-wife over his children. As a user, now banned, he attempted to use wikipedia to fight this same custody battle, as a perusal of the history of Raanana will show. In addition, he was banned for harrassing another user, both online and in person. The votes to keep included sockpuppets and personal friends, who have fewer than ten edits each, i.e., make 3 edits and vote for Joel. I am not even going to discuss his personal attacks against me or the foundation on his blog. Given the confusion of information and misinformation there, I can only wonder what kind of nonsense he is posting in his article. Nevertheless, I will state this, summarizing a lengthy email which I sent to the Arb Com about two months ago: if the Hebrew Wikipedia, based in Israel, sees fit to include a version of the article about him or his blog, I will support its inclusion in English. If not, I will continue to regard it as simple SEO spam and unverifiable drivel by someone attempting to use wikipedia to attain fame and pursue his own, selfish agenda, using false information, sock puppets, and what have you. I sincerely hope that this is not the direction that Wikipedia is taking. Danny 01:30, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
That's a good job, I like that a lot. --Crossmr 19:15, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Those diagrams in Speciation are far better than I could ever do, as is obvious from the one I tried.... What an honor to have help from the creator of the family tree supertemplate! BenB4 01:55, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Attempting to follow your example, I downloaded Inkscape, and tried adding text and a few more small features to your great replacement Image:Drosophila speciation.svg. As you can see, it didn't go so well. (It opens fine in Inscape after download, too!) Why don't textual captions work on Inkscape SVGs uploaded to Commons? BenB4 13:45, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
I tried changing the font to Times New Roman but that didn't help. Strangely, it moved the respective black rectangle in a way I do not understand. Nevermind, it was like that in my first try. BenB4 13:50, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Well, I made a PNG version which works just fine.... But then I realized that you must know the trick, because you got text in SVG images to work. So, please tell me how. Thanks again! BenB4 14:40, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
That's really quite clever, I didn't even notice at first, I've tried something similar for my page, I'll probably wind up changing it at some point though--AOL account 17:31, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
An anon (68.39.174.238) has requested at WP:RFPP that your talk-page be unprotected. Could you please address the matter there? Thanks --Srikeit (Talk | Email) 11:05, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Would the "fair use" with rationale be more appropriate for these motorcycle pictures?
Hello. I realised that you have the template, in which you claim to speak English at a 'God Like Level'. I am not too sure if it is written in jest, or you really think your English is that good.
If it is the latter, I would just like to point out a mistake on your userpage, a case of Redundancy.
It is sufficient to say "I am a full-time software....", and the word "currently" is not necessary.
Just to let you know. Regards - le petit vagabond 05:46, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
How come template:AOL says the exact opposite of WP:AOL?--152.163.100.137 02:31, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
I have noticed that User-Missingno has used IP 66.196.42.80 his IP is 70. something and someone else has used the same IP. Further evidence: I found the same Ip Listed in the free Open proxy lists on Yahoo and Google. It is a "CGI Proxi". Thank you for your help, Jak.
Hi, I've seen several genetics images made by you popping up in articles. I was wondering if you could make an image for clonal selection (immunology) based on this [2]. If the link doesn't work for you let me know and I can email a jpg instead. Thanks. --Peta 04:17, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
For the moment, the template uses a majuscule, which is an unintended effect. I don't have the proficiency to fix it, please contribute if you can. I am by no way a template expert.
(you mean like this?)
Template: Undiscovered Element
Yes, thank you, I did not know the lc:
parameter.

You wrote a patch to make the pipe trick work with commas. Are you planning to implement it, or is more comment needed? --NE2 16:16, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
