Question about Template:WPBS[edit]

How does Module:Wikiproject banner inherit the class parameter from WPBS? I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue I'm having on another wiki. If the WPBS has a class, the project banner comes up unassessed. Yesterday, I exported the latest diffs of each module, and 99% of it works out of the box, but it's not's coming up as Unassessed-Class. –Fredddie 04:50, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

We are using Module:Template parameter value. You can see the code at Module:WikiProject banner#L-81 — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 05:15, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from SigNbol (02:35, 17 June 2024)[edit]

How do I upload a new picture? --SigNbol (talk) 02:35, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Is this a picture you have taken yourself? If so, head to commons:Special:UploadWizard and follow the steps — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 05:14, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The da Vinci Barnstar[edit]

The da Vinci Barnstar
For leading the process of re-designing WP:Vital articles. I thought that this was the most appropriate barnstar. Great job and thanks for all your help on making the changes happen! Aszx5000 (talk) 09:56, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well thanks a lot. But without you nothing would have happened — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:33, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello MSGJ, first I wondering if it was possible for you to email me the history of WP:WikiProject The Weeknd so that I don't go through a lot of trouble when the time recreate it comes. Secondly, is there a way I can try to recreate it or even propose it for approval? — dxneo (talk) 14:46, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I don't quite get it. One user told me the WikiProject was deleted due to low number of participants and because it was abandoned but I when I recreated it, I put my everything into it and gathered enough experienced editors to help. Looking WP:WikiProject Sia and WP:SZA, I fail to understand how The Weeknd failed and they are still afloat. This is really not fair sir. — dxneo (talk) 20:54, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Contacting admins listed as recently active[edit]

Could I request a look at the interventions of User:Maurnxiao in Talk:2024 United Kingdom general election, sections Infobox, Muslim Vote, and Workers Party.

A member of less than a week (although his very first post was challenging the status of sources as reliable, making me suspect he has been active under a different identity), entirely unaccepting of the principle of consensus, determined to see a level of coverage of one political party that is disproportionate to that given by mainstream news sources. Highly disruptive, unwilling to accept that his preference is not grounds to change the approach taken by the article. Time sensitive issue (election is in 10 days), so a quicker intervention would be desirable. Is seeking a topic ban suitable, or is some other solution more suitable.

With thanks. Kevin McE (talk) 08:30, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have time to look at this now, but if urgent then I suggest you post to WP:ANI without delay — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:32, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
He is beating a dead horse as I had already accepted and acknowledged the consensus. Maurnxiao (talk) 10:42, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you @MSGJ, matter now seems closed, although quite where he had acknowledged the consensus is unclear. Kevin McE (talk) 11:31, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject merges[edit]

This is getting really frustrating. Here you told me it was "fine" to go ahead with these so long as the duplicates will be removed (they will). Now you have decided there's something wrong with the process? So what is the correct process, and why is it different from the clear, long-standing instructions at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide/Task forces#Converting existing projects to task forces (Redirect the moved project's banner to the parent project's banner)? – Joe (talk) 07:25, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry if you feel I'm being obstructive. I do really support the merge, just want to make sure the templates get dealt with properly. Not sure where to post, because we have four different threads now. Will be monitoring and comment where I can add something — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:43, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

error in Module:Endangered Languages Project[edit]

Hi. The ELP name for [hur] is Hulʻqʻumiʻnumʻ (Halkomelem). I don't see how to fix it. Thanks. — kwami (talk) 01:51, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps you could explain a bit more about where you are seeing this error? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 02:32, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The ELP name in the info box at [[Halkomelem]]. It's automatically generated by this script. — kwami (talk) 02:36, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can change it at wikidata:Q35388#P2192. Someone really needs to write documentation for that module! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 02:42, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! — kwami (talk) 02:51, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Denis 216 (20:56, 8 July 2024)[edit]

Hello, there is one photo in the article that no very representative of Magda Olivero, being the director of The Magda Olivero Archives, I have access to better photos. How do I go about to change the photo. --Denis 216 (talk) 20:56, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Denis 216 if you have photos that are in the public domain or could be released under a creative commons licence, then you are free to upload them to commons:Special:UploadWizard. After that I can take a look to see what can be improved on the article — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:52, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question about Vehicular Automation[edit]

Hi @MSGJ, I saw that you recently edited the Vehicular automation page. I wanted to ask if you could review the 'Autonomy levels' section that talks about the classification of autonomous driving levels, information that is pulled from the Self-driving car page.

There is new classification approach that has been added to the Self-driving car page, that's presented by Mobileye. It offers an alternative to the SAE levels of autonomy by providing new terminology of hands-on/off, eyes-on/off and driver/no-driver.

Would it be possible for you to present both these classification systems on the Vehicular Automation page too?

Note - I'm employee of Mobileye and have declared my COI. Gideon at Mobileye (talk) 08:46, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
