Request reason:

Hello Jimfbreak, I would like to know what was wrong with the article I made, yes it was for a company, but only more on the back ground, I have seen several articles on different companies like Furuno and Raymarine Marine Electronics, theirs also had an external link but they were not blocked as what happened to my article. If you have suggestions I would take them into account. Hoping for your response and hoping for your consideration.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline; no new username selected. Yunshui  09:47, 29 October 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Onwa Marine Electronics[edit]

Hello Onwaphiloffice,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Onwa Marine Electronics for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Trinitysky (talk) 07:02, 25 October 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text ((unblock|Your reason here)) below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:27, 25 October 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

so that there will no longer be conflict of interest to the page I made. thanks

Decline reason:

There is no right way to create an article about your own organization. Don't worry- if your organization is truly notable, then someone outside the organization will inevitably write about it independently, and you won't have to take any action at all. Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 18:46, 4 November 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Onwaphiloffice (talk) 00:26, 5 November 2013 (UTC)Yes I understand that now. May I please be guided on the right way to create the article? is it possible that I may post a sample and be verified if it can be posted? so that the article may be part of wikipedia. Thank you for the guidance.Reply[reply]
