Bo McMillin touchdown image source[edit]

Hi! I recently completed a re-write and expansion of 1921 Centre vs. Harvard football game with a goal of GA and, eventually, FA. I'd love to use File:BoMcMillin.jpg, which you uploaded in 2008, in the article but I removed it for now since, as part of the latter's image review process, publication information will be needed to ensure that it is indeed public domain. I know it's been quite a while but would you happen to remember where you found that image or any places you'd recommend checking for it? Thank you! W. M. Gains, Washburn football[edit]

Hi, I was trying to find info about W. M. Gains. According to a newspaper (Lawrence Daily Gazette, 27 Oct 1894), the head coach for Washburn in 1894 was Arthur Cane. An 1895 newspaper referred to Arthur Kane as the previous year's football coach. Other sources refer to Arthur Kane as a referee so it seems to be spelled with a K. I can't find any mention of a Gains or Gaines associated with Washburn or football. This conflicts with the official Washburn list used as a reference and so the current info seems dubious. —KaliforniykaHi! 03:54, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
